About Me

Being a born again believer of Jesus Christ my desire is to focus on God?s Word and to bring the Hope of God to others. Accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at an early age of nine I began to explore the foundations of God?s word and seek the will of God in my life. In the years since, I have set guidelines that I stand firmly on as God?s truth and as a foundation for my faith.

I believe the Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God. I also believe it to be inerrant and the sole basis of faith and practice. I believe in one God, infinite in holiness, in truth, in knowledge, and in power. I believe that He is the creator of the universe. He is eternally existent in three persons who being the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I also believe in the deity and lordship of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, and His forthcoming return.

I believe in the Holy Spirit who convicts men of sin and makes them children of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and permanently indwells in all who so believe. Man is also a sinner by nature and without God he is lost and in need of a Savior. Upon man accepting Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior I believe in his eternal security. The church is made up of believers in Jesus Christ and they are united with Him. The church?s purpose is the fulfillment of the Great Commission recorded in Matthew 28:19,20.

As that is the foundation of my faith I believe it results in a threefold outline for my ministry. The first is Praise. I want to praise the Lord in all that I do. I strive to make Him the center of my life and to honor, exalt, and glorify him in everything. The second is evangelism. I want to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to the community and throughout the world, whether it is in a secular or church staff position. Third is to prepare. I must not forget that the salvation of an individual is only the beginning of a ministry. We must prepare people who are saved for service and ministry. This is done through instruction and discipleship. I believe that the work of the Lord in empowered by God and not by man. Therefore in conclusion, it is my prayer and focus that in all that I do others would see Christ through me.

In Christ,
Doug Johnson
